 Annual and Financial Reports
Background
One Housing Group is a leading provider of affordable housing, care and support across London and the South East and a not-for-profit organisation.
It seeks to improve people’s lives by providing well designed, affordable homes, along with a range of high quality services that support and sustain the diverse audiences they serve.
Brief
They wanted to mark their point of difference as a positive, forward thinking organisation, committed to growth, despite challenging times, whilst portraying a sense of community. The annual report was required in a digital, interactive PDF format to enable them to link to further information online, whereas the financial report needed to be an easy to navigate, static PDF.
Response
We interviewed key members of staff to develop content to supplement that already provided and this resulted in a shortlist of important themes the report needed to reflect. We then developed an illustrative route, depicting these key aspects of their work in a single illustration. An illustrator was then commissioned to create a drawing that depicted a growing community of staff and customers, all supported by the central One Housing Group brand.
Each key element from the illustration was then used throughout the report for icons in the chapter headings. They were linked interactively either through headings or the graphic section, allowing readers to navigate as they see fit. Together, these illustrations promote the broad range of work OHG does, whilst offering the reader an engaging and interesting annual report.
